SMOS is based in Kingston Upon Thames.
It was established in 1989 by the present Managing Director Steve Syder. Steve is an APM Certificated PM. Additional qualifications include an ISEB Certificate in project management and Prince 2. In addition he is a Fellow of the Association for Project Management (APM) and was one of the first people to gain the Registered Project professional (RPP) status in 2010.

A committed, professional approach has allowed SMOS to successfully manage several large business change programmes combining strategic, I.T. and non-IT elements.
More recently, SMOS has specialised in Business and ITC strategy and programme rescue work, bringing back on track complex programmes that are forecast to miss deadlines/budgets/functionality.
SMOS expanded into Supply Chain/Procurement consultancy in Winter 2006, when Susan Syder joined the company.
